Comicbooks!

I went and bought a small wobbly pile of them this afternoon. Spending my pay cheque before I've even chashed it in? You betcha. And to my pleasant surprise I discover that now I have all the issues released so far related to my latest fave series,

ELEPHANTMEN

Elephantmen is a pretty awesome series. It kicked off with HIP FLASK, a one man opus by Ladronn (art, story), Starkings (story) and dialogue by Joe Casey, meant to run for 5 issues. Of which only 3 came out. Mostly because the art is so monstrously elaborate and detailed; there was a year's gap between the first two issues (issue #1 has just been rereleased, #2 can be dug out from somewhere) and issue #3 took 3 years to come out (pleasantly enough it came with today's haul and I am very happy with that). Issue #4 was meant to be finished this year, but probably it'll come in... 2008. I guess. Then there's Elephantmen, a side series set in the same universe, by Starkings and Moritat.

The point of this entry? Simple, I'm recommending, of course!
